John Taylor (nicknamed “Jonathan”) was drafted out of college while enrolled at Abilene Christian College and spent four years in the USAF as a Russian linguist. Upon discharge, he was hired by J.D. Hall, Founder, to work in manufacturing for The Visador Company in Dallas. The company made glazed inserts for wood doors. Later, he was transferred to Chattanooga, TN to manage a distribution warehouse for the company, then moved back to Dallas to manage the company’s distribution there. Visador promoted him to an administrative sales role at the headquarters in Jasper, Texas, reporting directly to Don Hall, then Executive VP, Sales & Marketing. In 1963, he was assigned responsibility for field sales for part of the Midwest, from an Indianapolis office, then transferred in 1965 to Los Angeles as District Sales Manager, covering California and Nevada. In 1970 he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for Visador over thirteen western states, including Alaska and Hawaii, later changing to an independent Manufacturer’s Representative role. In 1977 Jonathan formed his own stair fabrication and installation company in Tustin, California, selling that company to employees seven years later. In 1985 he formed an Executive Recruiting business, Pro Counsel, in Laguna Beach, CA. He retired in 2003 but continued some research and writing for two recruiting companies. In 2005 he became a full associate of Don Hall & Associates in Waco, TX. Jonathan lives in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico but employs a broadband internet messaging and phone service which uses a Waco, Texas phone line, (254) 247-0446..
